NICE. Good to here someone is getting kids involved in the shooting sports. We need more of that. When we were kids we could go hunting in the afternoon after school. Many times we would have only one 12 gage shotgun shell so you had to make it count.

Nice! We are having a hard time finding ammo here so practice is limited.
Glad to see you are passing on a great sport and doing it right!
Great memories for sure.

Raised my son shooting and hunting from the time he could hold a gun. Now we are doing the same with his son. Even my daughter used to like to shoot and hunt but hasn't done it in a while now.
Like bigsky3625re ammo is hard to find around here. Finally found some American Eagle 9 mm target ammo last weekend at Cheaper Than Dirt. Ammo that I paid $13.50 a box of 50 for last summer was $39.95! That makes for pretty expensive target shooting. And I can't even find bullets to reload my own. Have a reloader. Got brass, powder, and primers. But not bullets to load with.

great shooting with open sights. girls always seem to shoot better for some reason.
I never challenge my sister to a shoot off because she will win, and to think she didnt like guns at all untill she bought that Desert Eagle for 350.00 years ago.

Great job. Many of us grew up being taught to use and respect guns. The world would be a little safer if more folks did that.

Very cool! Like everything else in life, education is key to understanding. Shame how kids today are taught to villianize those who own guns. Keep up the good work!

I know what you mean about trying to find ammo!! Finally got some ammo for my new 9mm and it cost me $134.00 for 150 rounds!! Of course, it was Federal Hydra-Shok 147 gr. FMJ Hollow Points......
Something that I am not going to just start shooting, need to find some more "economically priced" bullets for it for target practice...

Yeah, if you can find it, even the cheapest target ammo is $30-$40 a box. I can't even find .22 to play with. Have some .45, but can't find any of the 9mm to stock up on.

Reload your ammo, save some money and have better ammo customized for the use. You can carry all of the reloading equipment in a shoe box, a scale, press, powder measure, priming tool and dies. You can load a box in less time than it takes it go buy a box.

I've been wanting to learn how to reload. From what I'm hearing right now though, is you can't get primers anywhere to do the reloading.

Do a search for Haydon's Shooters Supply, The Woodchuck Den or Sinclair International. One of them might be able to help find primers.

I have searched the above plus a dozen or so others for 9mm bullets and small pistol primers. Nothing to be had except personal defense type bullets and I have a couple hundred or so of those I have not loaded yet. Everything says backordered and most will not let you place an order. Can't find them in local stores that carry reload supplies either. Would sure like to find some target type bullets for reload. Don't want to use up all my PD bullets on practice.
Also very hard to find loaded target rounds in the stores and the prices are now up to triple what they were this time last year.
Personal defense loads are out of sight. Should have anticipated the demand and bought a good supply back after the lastest shooting. Guess I will just wait it out until it settles somewhat back to normal, whatever that is.

Yep, just what I'm seeing. The sites won't even let you place an order if it's backordered. That there feller at 1600 Pennsylvania is a gonna' get employee of the year for sales again...

Things are starting to let up around here, today we are making a run to 4 of the major supply stores to see what is in stock. Right now I have enough supplies to reload about 1500 223 rounds and am getting started on the 9mm supplies should be able to get what I need today. Set to start loading the O3A3 06 and the CZ 550 varminter 308.
A shot of my reloading bench, it is small but efficient.

Nice loading bench Allen. Part of the fun for me is to make all if my reloading equipment and then take it to prairie dog town and use it along with the rifles I built.
