Have never had ours done by a commercial firm. I have used our Hoover Max Extract Carpet Cleaner (what they used to call steam vac I think), that I use on the home carpets, once or twice a year since we have owned our Monte. Does a good job. I always do it when the weather is nice and humidity low so I can open the windows, run the ceiling fan in the living room and a box fan in the bedroom. The Hoover sucks most of the water out so the drying time is very quick under those condition. Amazing how much "mud" ends up in the collection bucket even when the carpets don't look particularly dirty.
