Antenna Crank

The crank of my antanna came loose from the rod that extends up through the ceiling and the antanna. Upon inspection I notice that there is only a small screw that holds the crank to the rod by pressure. The screw is tighten against the rod, and does not go through the rod.

In my opinion this is poor design. As you crank the antanna up and down over time, the screw loosens and creates a gouge in the rod.

Any suggestions on fixing.
