landing gear sagging

I guess the Lord wishes to make us stronger by giving us challenges. It wasn't enough for the A/C to die in 87 degree weather. After being parked for about 3 days I felt like I was walking uphill when going from the front bedroom to the kitchen/living room so I went out and hit the auto level and the front went up about 6 inches. I have never had to re-level before. I called Lippert tech support and talked to John. He asked, "Do you have a 5/32" allen wrench?" I said I do. He said to tighten the allen screw on the solenoid valve on top of the left front cylinder very gently, which I did. It had been dropping about an inch a day, but after tightening the allen screw it has'nt dropped a bit. SOOOO, A BIG THANK YOU TO LIPPERT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Send a message via AIM to stengels
I'll vouch for them as well. I've had a couple of occasions where they identified and resolved some issues.

Well, a big thank you Dick! Mine has been dropping since this winter and I hadn't found the issue yet. So now I will dig out my trusty allen key and gently tweak its little head! John

Is tight clockwise or counter clockwise. If I turn the allen screw clockwise the set screw gets loose, counterclockwise it tightens right away.

Thanks

Don

If I remember correctly the allen screw does have left-hand threads so turn CCW to tighten. GENTLY-DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!!!!!

I had that issue as well and called Lippert support. The only difference from you is I tightened all the solenoid valves and added the Caterpillar hydraulic additive (after removing a quart from the tank) to take care of the popping and creeping sounds I was hearing while the Monty was parked at home.

Re my original post:The front legs are separate from the rear 4 leveling jacks per John at Lippert thus the need to tighten the solenoid valve on the left front leg only.Keep in mind this only applies if the front is settling. If the rest of the unit is settling as well then perhaps the need to tighten the rest of the solenoid screws. In my case, when I hit auto level only the front legs extended, not the rear and center.
