Welcome to the forum Farmer Ron.
February 2020 Texas had winter storm “URI” or whatever they called it. We had 5* (F) weather, ice and snow for a week. We also had no power and couple of days with no water. DW and I gained a whole new level of respect for you folks that live in cold like that for months on end. The crazy way cold fronts come thru TX in the winter - sometimes our respect for “those in the frozen north” starts at Waco!

Hi FarmerRon, we also just signed on a new MHC 295RL on 10/7. Since we are close to the first snow here, I’ve already winterized it. Looking forward to our fist trip next spring- going to Cape Charles, VA in April.

The 295rl seem very popular. We weren’t seriously looking to buy until we saw this one and had to have it. Mine is fortunate enough to spend the winter cozy in a heated shop. Unfortunately it will be late May or early June before I get to try it out. Long winter up here in NE Alberta.

A bit of advice regarding the Schwintek bedroom slide. When operating the slide hold the button down 4 or 5 seconds after it stops. This will keep the motors in sync. Also when parking on a right high to left low slope over 3 degrees place blocks under the wheels. Because the slide is so big, relying on the levelers will put a lot of stress on the bedroom side frame which can cause slide problems.

I have already learned a lot about the Schwintek slide. I will also connect my levelmate pro next time I level my new 5th wheel to check level on our first adventure. Thanks for the head's up @Foldbak

FarmerRon, I checked a map on where you live! I see why you are saying to wait until spring to use it - you are halfway to the Northpole!!!! LOL
