Raccoon invasion!
Don’t know if this is the right place here in the forums, but did not see a topic on critter invasions.
We had a momma raccoon get inside the basement storage area of our 3813MS this winter.
She not only completely destroyed every box, bag, heating duct work, carpeted walls and chewed the wood walls.
She peed, pooped and had a litter of 6 babies in the middle of the mess!!!
Anyone have any ideas how she got inside the basement?
Up the metal stabilizer legs? She only got in the basement. Not inside the unit itself.
The front legs are enclosed in metal boxes with very little clearance at the top. Cannot see how the other 4 legs are set up.
Any ideas or suggestions to keep them out is appreciated!
Unit is now back at the dealer to have the underbelly taken off and all the wiring and plumbing checked.
The real irritation is we just bought this unit last July 2nd and have only stayed in it 3 nights!!!!
Thank you,
Roger

Middle jack legs. If you take down the basement walls you can see daylight looking towards the middle jack legs both sides.
You can get some aluminum sheet metal, bend and cut it to fit then rivit it or screw it in place.

Put a solar powered electric fence around your camper. You can get plastic post with a steel peg on the end to make them easy to get in the ground. Use the plastic cord with several very small stainless steel wires in it. It’s very easy to use. Put one wire about 6 inches and one about a foot off the ground. Run the wire to all or most of the steel pegs for a ground. All of this is available at Tractor Supply. It will be a shocking experience for Ms Coon and her baby.
