Sorry your having all the issues.. I have also posted on here several times about problems with a HC.. We purchase ours in Feb 2018. On our second trip after a pretty long shake down.. Not new bees here.. Our third new fifth wheel and all Keystone products.. The first two were great.. This on HC 330RL is a great layout just problem after problem....Slide issues, Fascia falling off, converter not working, molding coming off, back splash coming off, AC turning on and off and on and off. Self levelers not working properly...You know the rest.. We are from California and we do have a lemon law... All of these posts will help.. Thanks and sorry for your issues.. Gary

Sorry to hear about your experience but your not alone. I have had my Montana for 6 months and it is back at the shop for the 6th time right now. I took it in after having it for 2 weeks with a list of 20 items, the did ok on most of it but they can't seem to figure out why the furnace won't light. They have had it for 3 weeks this time with no idea when it may be repaired.
This was to be my retirement dream, spent a good share of my savings to purchase it and a truck to pull it. Now I wish I could wake up from this nightmare.

Send a message via Yahoo to perfect5th
Look up “www.lemonlawcase.com” on the web.
There are several options to view and some guidelines to follow regarding returning and/or effectively getting constant problems resolved.
“Good luck.”
We’ve all been there...

Had a similar slide issue. The kitchen slide has a wear strip that the slide rides on, there are no rollers, etc., just a plastic/nylon strip under the full length of the slide. I treated the seals with a seal conditioner that has silicon and some of it got on the strip. Slide started jumping violently. With research on this and other forums I figured out what happened. That strip should never get silicone on it. Had to clean off as best I could with alcohol and use WD Specialist Dry Lube with Teflon on the strip and the bottom of the slide. It was instantly cured, as good as new.

For seal conditioner many have recommended Protect All Rubber Seal Conditioner. Just checked with the manufacturer and it too has silicone. They said all seal conditioners have silicone. Will just have to be careful not to get any on the strip and not do the bottom seal so none wipes off onto the strip.

I keep hoping once we get everything fixed we will again enjoy camping with our unit. Got back from a trip yesterday and opened the door to find the wood trim on the inside of the driver side slide laying on the couch, table and sink. Not much damage but now I have another project before we go out again.
How did you access the silicone strip on kitchen slide? From inside or outside. I have the same issue and looking at mine now.

Give up on the dealer and call the furnace manufacturer. Explain the situation and ask for a list of local authorized service people. They can provide a list of mobile techs also, but you pay the service charge which in my case is less than 1, yet alone 2, trips to deliver and pick up the 5er.

Sorry about your problems

We are also from Mississippi. We do hope you get the problems fixed. We suggest you try the lemon law and keystone factory. This is our 4th 5er. Fortunately we have always had good luck.

We are in Mississippi but bought the camper in Alabama so I’m not sure which states lemon law I would look under. Keystone is working with us and our service people so I’m hoping they will see it through to the end and in a timely manner. We are tired of paying for something we can’t use. Thank you for your kind words.

Quality of repairs depend solely on the mechanic. You can have a good mechanic at a hole in the wall shop. Conversely, a bad mechanic in a long established shop. Montanas are not currently the quality units that their reputation still carries. My experience tells me to be a good do it yourselfer. Work out the bugs the best you can and keep the trailer. Too bad a broken in trailer is more trustworthy than a new one. I would buy more if this were not the case.

With all the problems many people have with there rv's it's a wonder any of the manufactures are still in business. It's a hit and miss as to whether you get a good rv or not. Mine seems to be good but i don't full time like many and couldn't afford to set up in a hotel several weeks at a time waiting for Keystone or anyone else to repair my rv. Many spend the 1st year keeping there rv basically stored at the dealer waiting for shoddy repairs. With all the mods to mine i couldn't afford to trade in if i wanted to. If i have to many problems with mine i would just sell and get out of rv business. These are all money pits and a very expensive way to travel. Unfortunately many have put thousands of dollars of there retirement money in there rv and truck just to have a lemon. There are millions of baby boomers retiring and the manufactures don't have to have repeat customers to do well. There are 10,000 people turning 65 every day so they have plenty of new customer base.

We purchased our 2018 3731L Montana last August and has been in dealers a total of 4 months so far.
Have appt to bring in July 3rd and who knows how long this time?
We are first time buyers and disgusted also so we feel your pain.I feel like this purchase was opening Pandora’s Box.
Retired and nothing but a bundle of headaches!

We have had two Montana's and 4 TT's over the years. We have been I guess fortunate to have had good experiences . We only used the 4 T'T for weekends and short vacations and had few problems with any of them. The Montana's a 06 3400 and this 13 3402 have been heavily used since we are long timers and on the road nearly all year. We have traveled over 100K miles in these two Montana,s and have experienced more problems with the two Montana's than we did with all of our previews Rv's combined. We also used and lived in the Montana's far more than the previous 4 combined. We have had a good relationship with Keystone(I did not say perfect) and dealers we have used.
Others have not but we can only relate to our experiences.

At what point, I wonder, does this warrant a class-action lawsuit? Think of all the thousands of unsatisfied customers like us who aren’t posting their frustrations. Any attorneys out there?

Furnace, if the sparker is sparking, make sure the distance between the elements is 1/8". Next check lp pressure at the furnace valve. Mine was 9" should be 11". We screwed down the pressure spring on the switch over regulator, been perfect for 4 years now. The stove and frig will work on 9", the furnace will not.

Hc troubles

I thought I was the only one. Had the same a.c. Vent leak, took 3 times in to fix, fridge wasn't cooling took 4... Reminded them of Nebraska's lemon law. Slide motor died . 6 shades have broken, Left front jack died, had to pay for it as no dealers near by and it took 7 months for keystone to reimburse my 600 dollars. One of the recliners started to come apart and had to be replaced...no it's not what your thinking... My wife only weighs 140ish.
We bought our 17 370BR in March 17. The dealer has been great. We love our Monty, but not so much keystones.

The drv experience was able to be towed by a dually..

So many things I won’t list them all. Some major ones were the furnace wasn’t working. The service people asked my husband if it had been under water?? It was so corroded. They cleaned it up and it’s been working. We’ve had a leak when it rains coming from one of return air vents. We had it in 4 times with Keystone making the service people jump through hoops and try different things. They finally replaced the AC unit but I won’t trust that it’s fixed until we camp in a rain storm. The kitchen slide out was making a horrid noise. It was moving the wall panel next to the fridge back and forth, warping it and almost breaking it! They discovered a weld that looked like it had broken and Keystone did a quick fix with some bolts that didn’t hold. Our service people said they fixed it and had brought the slide in and out many times and it was fine. Well we just got it home Friday and when I let it out it made a very loud pop. I was afraid it was stuck but it came back in a little so I put it back out. Well hubby wanted to wash it today so he went to let the slide in and it makes an even worse noise than it did. Something is very wrong! We have had it in for service 6 times and this is getting old! I was in tears today! I’d love to take it back to CW and tell them to keep it! We really don’t know which way to turn. We feel like we got a lemon! We are retired, not wealthy and this was our last hurray! It’s turned into not such good times! Thanks for listening!
I also had rain water coming into my 2017 Montana HC through the air conditioner cold air return. I found the problem by going top-side and removing the top half of the plastic Dometic AC cover and then exposing the air conditioner duct work just under the AC fan. There I noticed that 2 identical plastic braces over each back edge of the metal duct were able to collect rain water that blew in through the air conditioner top plastic cover slots. The collecting water then drained directly into the metal vent and into the RV through factory designed mounting holes that weren't used in our installation. Simply plug these holes (4 of them on the HC 310 RE) that are directly over the metal duct with clear GE (or similar) silicone II sealant, and any collected water will drain outside the AC vent and onto the RV roof. Sorry I didn't take pics but it wasn't hard to locate and fix. Good luck!

No place to steer them to without possible worse problems.
