Question on Ford 6.7 Fuel mileage

I currently own a 2011 F350 SRW with the 6.7 diesel. It has a 3.55 rear end. I am looking at trading it for 2015 F350 DRW. This is and will be my every day vehicle. I currently get 16-17 mpg around town and 18-19 on Interstate without trailer. I get 10-10.5 with trailer. I have to go to 3.73 rear end with the DRW option. 4.30 rear end is another option . With the 4.30 you can also get the short turn front end. I am curious what others are getting for mpg with the 6.7 with either the 3.73 or 4.30 rear end. Thx

Towing I get 13-14 average. Around town with no RV about the same. On freeway 16.5 or so! 2014 F450 with about 21,000 miles since new. The better turning front end only come on F450 to my knowledge. Note 2015 F450 will have larger tires and rims and different turbo charger. Lots of good articles in subject. It also only come with 4:30 I believe.

With my dually, I get 12-13 towing on level ground, and 20-21 running solo on the interstate. Around town depends on traffic/lights.

Get 12-14 towing and 17-19 so far solo, which I expect will go up as I get so miles on it. Less than 20,000 so far on my 2012 F350 dually. John

My 2011 6.7 DRW with 3.73 gears gets 20 to 21 mpg (NOT Towing) straight highway. I get 17 to 18 in town with winter blend diesel, and 18 to 19 with summer blend diesel in town. Towing I get 10 to 11 mpg.
