Mine does but it says on the remote just IN or OUT for the landing gear meaning just the front ??? Don't know because I have never used the remote for anything except the Awning, I have never used it for the slides either because I would rather do it inside to see if anything is in the way as the slides close(or OPEN)

Do you mean from the factory or added on later. We had ours installed by Lippert after we'd owned it a year and the remote works for everything else, but not the level-up.

Your signature shows a 2013 Montana. Have you tried your's to see if the remote operates them?

We did not get our new 2013 Montana yet. Suppose to get it next week.
I just did not know if it was coming with the remote or not. And yes
it is from the factory.

You'll have a remote that works.

No remote for the levelers on 2013 models. All from the side panel. You get a fob for other stuff.

Our 2013 3402 (may 2012) does have the remote but we have been afraid to use it.

I use our remote to put slides in and out, security light and awning.
So far it has worked perfect. It works on the slides inside the rv or out. It also runs the landing gear but I haven't used it for that much.
Ours is a 2012 model. Suzanne

What happens when you use the remote from the outside and something is behind the edge of the slide (crunch) I wouldn't use the remote on the slide from the outside. Just what I would NOT do!!

There are two uses for the remote IMO. Since the Level Up often doesn't return to the exact height as when I unhooked, I keep the remote in the truck and use it when hooking up. That way I can extend/retract the landing legs as I back the hitch into the pin. The other use is when I am opening only one slide due to close quarters (i.e storage lot, rest stop, etc.). You have to close the valve at the outside, so I use the remote while I am there to watch the clearance as the slide extends. The wife is watching the inside to ensure nothing is trapped.

We use our remote to operate everything from the outside also. Like Carl n Susan mentioned, it's great for when I'm hitching back up to the truck. For the slides, my wife checks to make sure everything is clear on the inside and then keeps an eye on things when I extend them. We've been in a couple places where we had to watch the clearance outside too.

Before installing Level-up I did have the ability to use the FOB remote with the front landing gear. When Level-up was installed I lost that ability. The controls for Level-up are completely independent of the control panel on the side of the trailer. I have a camera pointed right at the hitch, so I can double check alignment and height with it. With the FOB I could make a height adjustment if needed with out getting out of the truck.

As for slides it is extremely rare that we use the FOB. We prefer a set of eyes & ears watching from both the inside as well as outside as the slides move. Problems are more typically to occur on the inside so that is why the inside person works the slides. I seem to always be the outside person. Especially if raining or cold. Slapping my hand on the trailer if there is a problem is easily heard inside.

Cruzin2 x2. After I did the slideout crunch on some important stuff, I put the remote away. Don't miss it and I'm not incovenienced by not using it. After parking I do a walkaround outside to check slideout clearances then go in and partially open to check for potential crunches. When I know all is clear I fully open out. As for leveling, the little door is convenient to do it all and has a screen to tell your leveling status.

We have a remote that came with the unit that controls the electric jacks , stabilizers, hyd slides, etc.
We are now having it retrofitted with a lippert six point level-up system (the landing jacks get replaced)
I'm sure the new system only has the nice little control panel dedicated to it and not a remote.
However, I will be looking into modifying the old landing jack remote circuit to operate the new landing jacks.

I did the crunch thing too on the entertainment slide. Showing off for the neighbors in the driveway. What a flop. We now use the inside switch for the slides but if in a tight spot use the remote to confirm clearance.

You can not be too careful when checking to be sure nothing is in the way of the slide movement. Even if you are inside the coach, something can be in the way and you won't know it if you are not very careful about where you stow items before traveling. We check what we can see but the far end of two slides are not accessible when they are closed. Listening for bad sounds helps but is not foolproof. Generally speaking, if I'm sure there is sufficient clearance outside for the slides to deploy, I operate them from inside.

I have used the remote to open and close the slides since i bought the new Monty, the beauty of the remote is that you can operate it inside or outside, you can stop and start as you see the need and you can walk around to ensure you are clear of any obstacles. I often set up the camp by myself and IMHO using the inside control does not cut it.

I use the remote each time I hook up to the Monty to raise or lower the front to match up with the hitch, it is again a one man operation and I am comfortable doing the set up myself. If you put things away properly you are unlikely to have items get caught in the slides when extending or retracting them.

Whatever one is comfortable with I guess, when I do it myself I know what has been done and what has not been done, and have never had a problem over several years.

The factory installed Lippert 6-leveler system is not built into the remote or fob. The remote does however, work the front (landing gear) levelers up and down when hooking or unhooking from the tow vehicle. As stated the remote/fob also operates exterior Light(s), Main slide, landing gear and awning. The back 4 levelers are not built into the fob.

we have used our remote for awning front/rear stabilizers and slides, we have used it inside and outside, i usually am inside with the remote watching everything right there and the dw is outside watching to see if anything is close to hitting, works well for us, plus inside with the remote i can move around by each slide and watch instead of at the control panel.
