Black tank sprayer

I have a 2007 Montana Big sky 3400, and the black tank sprayer quit working this last move we made. Prior to that I have used it about every 3 days and it has been doing fine.Does anybody have any idea's what I can check?

Try checking the check valve. That seems to be a common point of failure. Mine is located under the lavratory sink but I believe in the 3400 it is behind the shower wall. Do a search on it. I think Steve Reigel even posted a picture as well as a description of how to get to it. Jim

jimcol is right. It's behind the pantry wall and you'll have to cut an access hole to get to it. Bob used his Dremmel to cut the hole and then replaced the check valve, which was also leaking like a sieve. We were camping with jaybird and ncfishers and jaybird happened to have a spare which he gave us.

mine has not worked since 2008. I have the 3485SA, now that we are in an Apt for a while and the monty is in Storage, I can deal with it. Is the Check valve also behind the wall in the Pantry? Were do I go to shearch were it is. Thanks.

Well I cut a hole in my pantry and took the valve out and checked it, was working fine. I called the valve company and the guy told me that it was probably the wand plug up. Got any ideas? Thanks

we had wand plug up, well, we still do.

the first time or two we were able to "soak" it loose. Filled tank, let set over night, drain.

but, that made us VERY nervous, as we do not care to fill those tanks like that, in our opinion, it is just inviting issues with leaking tanks. Our take, our paranoia! LOL

So, we just put up with a plugged wand, flush with a bit more water, lots less paper (you know my cry, more water, less paper, repeat as necessary, frequently).

Dump about ever 2 to 4 days, start again, more water, less paper.

I believe that wand stuff can be replaced?? We are too lazy to mess with it.

Good luck.

For 3400, try behind the shower faucet.

Try filling up your black tank about 2/3rds (at least above the sprayer, which is about, depending on Joe Amish, half way up the tank) and then put 5 Star Happy Camper Extreme Cleaner in your tank and follow the directions.

We have used 5star for a few years and won't be without it...

Thanks. I will try the 5 star Happy Camper, as I am a believer in Happy Camper products.
