Sureflo water pump pulsing
My 05 2980 had a Sureflo water pump that pulsed every few seconds even with the shower turned wide open. I was about to buy an accumulator and remove the restrictors in the faucets when I read the installation and operation manual on the Sureflo website. It mentions in the switch shut off section on page 1 about a phillips head adjustment screw right in the end of the pump housing. Basically if your system pulses too frequently, turn the adjustment screw clockwise to reduce the pulsing. Do Not turn the screw more than 1 1/2 turns however!! I turned mine clockwise 1 turn and the pump cycling is almost non existent with plenty of pressure and volume. No more on and off shower experiences.

Terrific info, dieselguy. This one got saved in my info reference folder.
Do you know if that same adjustment will change flow rate also?
I guess I can just dig out the manual and find out.
Thanks.

Per the manual, this adjustment effects cycle time only, the presssure and flow cannot be adjusted.

Thanks for the heads-up! We use tank water, exclusively. We always thought that we'd just have to live with the pulsing (doesn't really annoy us much anymore). Now I know what I'm doing this weekend!!

Thanks! We use the pump for potty stops, during which pulsing is not that big a deal. But we also use it often when we overnight somewhere. We only rarely get the pulsing but if that changes I now have the adjustment info at hand, thanks to your post.
