While exploring a new rig in order to make preparations for our retirement, my brother-in-law convinced me to go with a Montana. He also suggested that I join this group to get more advice before I ultimately make the purchase.

We hope to be full-timers in the near future and looking to gain as much knowledge as we can before we start spending the big bucks. We presently have our eye on the new 3850FL with the doors on both sides of the rig.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Steve

Steve, Glad you were able to get logged in and looking forward to your future posts. Welcome to the MOC! I'm sure you will receive much great advice from the members here, they are 2nd to none with their knowledge and experience. As you know Dea and I love our 3400RL and are very pleased with the quality of the Montana. I'm sure that if you guys do decide to go with the 3850FL you will be as pleased as we are! Tim (BIL)

Welcome! Your BIL didn't steer you wrong. The Montana is awesome! We are new to RVing and, since we sold our house in August 2013, we have been living in ours full time. Love it! Don't miss the house at all.

Welcome, the 3850 is a beautiful rig. The only drawback is loss of storage space in the basement. considering full timing you might look at the 3910, IMHO.
