Morning Fog and Sunshine

This picture was taken a few moments ago from a remote camera that is part of a group of camera's located on mountain tops. This is looking North along the Fraser River toward a small town called Lillooet, it is not visible in the fog but is located just to the right of the two Aspen trees. The river and highway are also completely hidden in the fog.
Mountains in this area range from 4000 to 8000 ft.

One of these camera's overlooks one of my geocaches that is at an elevation of 6500 ft, when not iced up I can keep an eye on the area.

Beautiful! We were up in the mountains hiking today (without the fog). There is no substitute for mountain views and mountain air. Thanks for sharing.

I showed a friend in Wyoming some pictures of the Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Parkway in full fall colors. He looked at them and said That's nothing every thing in Wyoming is prettier than anything in Virginia. Just proves we can all live in the prettiest place.

The intended highlight of my picture was the fog and how it followed the river valley for many miles. One of the other camera's in the group is located 40 miles to the South of this one and it showed the fog as you viewed two different river valleys. Two of the 5 camera's are interactive and can be rotated to get different views.

Nothing spectacular for fall colors in that area as there are not the variety of evergreen and deciduous trees that creates the fantastic colors we see in some area's.

Although there are few trees, one of the most spectacular fall scene's are along the Dempster Highway heading North from Dawson City in the Yukon and through the tundra in the NWT. Mother nature in her most brilliant display.

Every place has something of beauty, it is in the eye of the beholder.

Back when I was doing serious flying, every now and then we'd come up to an area that looked like the picture above...with the runway at the bottom of the fog.
