Transmission

Just a little report on what we have called our Journey of 2011. After 30,000 plus miles and 10 months on the road we pull back into MI. where I was once from and near where we started the Journey. I get to the CG and go to back into my site and all of a sudden, with no indications whatsoever the reverse gear goes out in the 2000 Ford F350. Have no idea what happened to it, but as of yesterday we now have a new transmission from Jasper. This is the only real problem we had all the way around the country the last 10 mos. so I say that I was blessed with a great trouble free trip. I asked a lot out of this older truck and it delivered. I know I am over weight and we found out the things we don't any longer need and they are going out the door. Time for the diet once again as it seems like we get rid of stuff but we add back to it gradually and there you are, over weight once again.

Still a fantastic trip and the Ford has a lot of miles on it yet as it only has 122,000 miles on it and it looks like new. Well almost like new, a few stone chips to many but unavoidable. This truck is one great truck!!

Glad to hear you're enjoying life and your rig! Sorry about the truck, but the need to repair happens to us all with what we are doing with our lives. Wouldn't trade it though.

At least you were not stranded on the side of the road. I purchased a Jasper gas engine a few years ago and was happy with the product; expect you will experience the same with your transmission.
