LED hitch light and front light not working

Hello everyone. We bought our new 346LBQ in Novemeber and haven't used it yet. Its our 3rd 5th wheel and we love it. My question is, there is a LED light just above the kingpin and an outside light under the overhang just above the front storage. Neither of them seem to work. Does the hitch light work from the remote or is there something I am missing? I tried the switch on the other light but nothing happens. The bulb is good, but no light. Thanks for the help.

The hitch light is controlled by the remote (I didn't even know I had one until I accidentally turned it on and had to figure out how to turn it off). The light under the overhang is independent of the remote, however if the battery disconnect in the convenience center is engaged, the light will not work. If the battery disconnect switch is not engaged and the light does not work, I would say that there is a strong possibility of a wiring problem to the light and or the switch itself.

Thanks for the info. So you are saying that if the switch is set to turn off the batteries, then the light should work, and if the switch is set to batteries on, it should not work?

I think when the switch is on, that means the batteries are disconnected. I always get confused there as well, so I turn the light on in the convenience center, then switch the battery disconnect so the light goes off. I remember someone else saying that when the battery switch is in position to turn off the batteries, that the key cannot be removed (or is it the other way around??) Still confusing to me, which is why I use the light method to know when the batteries are disconnected.

I always got confused with the battery disconnect also. I relabeled the switch with "Battery ON" and "Battery DISCONNECTED"

OK, I'll give it a close look tomorrow. It's in storage. I'll take my tester and see if I am getting any voltage to the light. The other day when I was there I didn't have the remote with me so I couldn't check the hitch light.

Red key out, switch is off and so are the lights. At least that is the way it works with my rig.

The led cluster above the hitch is activated by a security light... The one by the front street side door is active all the time while the batts are ON...
Good luck...

My led is working properly. It comes on when I turn on the scare lights. The other light has a bad switch. I finally got back over to do some other stuff and it still didn't work. I took the cover off and shorted the switch terminals with a screwdriver and the bulb came right on. I'll change the switch when I get a chance.
