Flashlight

I have an audiovox AVF-1 flashlight that mounts to a charging bracket on the wall in my 2004 3295RK. Need to replace it. Anyone know a source?

If you can't find a source, take it apart, you should be able to find rechargable batts. at radio shack or other stores like that. A lot of times they are no more than AA batts in them

I did a quick search on that number and all I come up with is security items. Is the model number correct?

I did one too and this is ALL that I found? Is this it? You will need to look down the web page a little bit to find it.

http://www.wardelectronics.com/produ...new.php?page=3

Funny thing about it is there is a $0.00 price? Maybe you can call this "Ward Electronics" and ask.

When our 12v rechargeable failed that came with the rig, we went to a hardware store and bought a new 110v rechargeable. This way it only recharged when plugged in to shore power (like when stored at home). It also does not run down the house batteries over time and is documented to last 6-8 hours on a single charge!

On edit: I used "audiovox avf-1 flashlight" in the brower's search field and got a lot more links listed for it. Don't forget the quotes!

Good luck!

I've taken mine apart and indeed, it contains 2 AA Nicads. If you try to solder in new batteries in be aware that too much heat will ruin the batteries.

There is a trick you can try on nicads before you replace them. Using a 9V battery apply voltage (in the proper polarity) to the terminals of the flashight battery pack. Do it 3 times for less than a second. Sometimes they come alive again. (not always though)

This does not work on ANY other type of battery! Wear saftey glasses!
