Electricty

Hello My electric is out here in New Mexico, no one knows when it will come back on, how long can I run the the furnace on the batteries. I have two deep cell and never have had to run it long.thanks

If you hook up the TV and run the engine, it will help charge.

You should be able to get about 2 days with out recharging your batteries. Of course it all depends on what else you are running.

Check with your neighbors to see if someone has a generator they can loan you. Or go down and buy a Honda or Yamaha generator.

Charging the battery with the trailer hookup can take forever. It really is only a trickle charge type process. Ask me how I know.

Thanks for the advice, the power was only out for about one hour. So not a problem, we when in to the Dairy Queen and had breakfast and took the pooch with us. Just 20 mins after we finished I checked and the power was back on. We have been here a year and it has never been off even that long, One of our neighbors has a motor home with a onboard generator, he has a long enough cord to reach the 50A that is run by the huge cummings generator that the store we work at is on. So if it became a problem he said we could run a cord from his to ours nad we would be good. Thanks again.
