Funny thread. My truck is "baby." I know for fact she's female because no way am I going to pat her dash and tell her 'nice job, baby' as we crest that 14 percent grade with Montana in tow unless she's female. And I also know the Garmin I set on the dash is female. Her name is Mary Jack. I'm convinced the male sounding voice (the Jack part) that I like/hear/understand best is really a female with a very bad cold. Otherwise no way could I respond 'yes, dear' to her commands.

Our Garmin is named "Stella" from "A Street Car Named Desire" - sometimes I shout: "Stellllaaaa!" when she takes us down a wrong route.

LOL...I can appreciate calling a truck by a female name...my last one was ole' Bets...this one is a male named Twister and is definitely a brute.
You may need to rethink the big butt thing associated with a female though. I wouldn't try that around my house...I live with a bunch of women around all the time...

I must admit that I never thought of naming my truck. I do call it a lot of names, like when I bump my head under the hood it's S___. Slam my finger in the door it's D___. When we had a flat it was OH F___. Things along that line. I guess we could put all that todeather and come up with a name but I'm afraid it wouldn't start if I call it that, plus you couldn't say that without getting in trouble. Guess I will stick with "the truck". Much like "the camper", same thing. Gave the tires a few names yesterday and again today. Hope those names are better tomorrow.

I have been calling mine "The Boat" since its the short bed on a Crew cab, it has a long wheel base. Now you need to know that I usually drive my little 89 Honda civic (31mpg) that can almost make a U turn on a one way single lane road. Or our Toyota 4 runner that turns almost as sharp. The Boat takes a LOT more room to maneuver.

The truck is a dually and I always thought that those trucks look like they have hips. So if you and your spouse are "joined at the hip" as on your license plate... you could always call it "Hippy"...

Nice, Margee. Between all the answers, it looks like maybe we'll call her "Big Mama Hippie"...

"She's" a fine ship lad and worthy of a grand name. With those lines, sturdy stern and proud grill a woman's moniker is a must. Jennifer is a good one. It is really a English corruption of the name Guinevere (King Arthur's wife) which itself probably is derived from the Welsh names Gwenhwy-mawr which can be translated as "Gwenhwy the great" or Gwenhwyfai which could be translated as "White Phantom". Either one fits your new TV well.

Mine cant be a male or female, I think if it was female it would clatter to much, or it shuts down when it dosent get it's way. HA HA. it's just a truck, when going up a steep grade it's name becomes "The little truck that could" "I think I can, I think I can" toot toot.

I somehow missed that my last boat was called "Our Jenny" and my now passed on Labrador Retriever was registered as "Our Jenny of Riverdale". Jenny was the name of my father's RCAF Lancaster bomber during WWII. He had 40 missions over Germany and the only time they got hit was by an friendly fire over England.

My last one was "baby". Everywhere it went it had to have its rattle.
