Just Purchased New F450 2008
Well, we finally bit the big one. After shopping around extensively and being told from all the Ford dealers that hey had no reason to disount the new F450 we finally found a Ford dealer through my home town in Wisconsing that was willing to give us a good disount. We ended up over $6,000 under the MSRP and then with an additional $1,000 rebate plus a commercial $300 rebate we thought, let's do it.
Just signed the papers today for the order. By the way, if you are looking to purchase, they did mention they would match our price for anybody we sent to them (we do not get anything for this). But it's a good deal if you're thinking about getting one. Now it's sit back and wait 6 weeks for it to come in.... Can't wait.

Jay and Beth,
Congratulations on your new truck! Sounds like you found a great dealership to purchase the truck from. Enjoy it once it arrives...

Very nice! That has to be an animal for towing.

It should tow our Mountaineer no problem and also when we upgrade to a heavier trailer, we won't have to worry about the weight. I am also looking forward to the MPG (especially with deisel cheaper than regular). With our current TV (Chevy 3/4 ton with the 8.1 Ltr) we average 10 driving around town and just under 8 towing. I am hoping the diesel will do better. From what I've heard, maybe around 10-11 towing and 13 - 15 regular driving?? I am also looking forward to my wife driving a bit more. She is very uncomfortable in the chevy since you sit lower in the seat. When we test drove the 450, it had the adjustable pedals which she loved. She actually said it felt smaller than the chevy when she was driving it. We'll see...
