Winter 2011 Florida
Any of you MOC members staying in the Homosassa, Fl. area this winter? I just booked at Camp N Water for the winter. Yea, I know, but even though I live in Florida, we were looking for a get away and wanted to roost for a while in one spot. State Parks are our normal destinations, but very difficult to get in during the winter season.

We'll be in Inverness for the winter...just a short drive away from Homosassa. We like to go to Homosassa though...to see the wildlife park there and we have several places we like to go out to eat...The Freezer, The Shed and hopefully Marguerita Grill will reopen sometime soon (after their fire). We'll be at Thousand Palms Resort in Inverness from Nov. - April. Hope we can meet up sometime this winter!

Hi David. We'll be in Sarasota from January to early April at SunNFun. This will be our third year retired and coming south for the winter. Two years ago we gave the Rio Grande Valley a visit, then Tucson and Sedona last winter. We've been to Florida many times but for one or two week visits. Hopefully we've picked a nice area. There are so many great places in Florida Maybe we can get together.
Dave

Hi Dave, we'll be at Crystal River area for Feb and March. We'll be in Ft. Lauderdale for 2 weeks around Christmas (our daughter lives there), then 2 weeks at Flamingo(Everglades). Feb and March we'll be at Rock Crusher(Crystal River), near Homosassa. We still have 12 days to fill in between Flamingo and Rock Crusher, and may go there early if we can get in, and maybe stay a couple weeks into April before heading to St. Joe Peninsula St. Pk. for 2 weeks. We'll likely head back to Ohio by May. It's our first year as snowbirds.
