Question How to access water heater inside

My water heater is under a kitchen 'peninsula' by the frig. If I ever need to remove it, how do you access it? Also, the covering (skinny fiber board, I think) came un-nailed a bit. How can I get inside to pound the nails in?
Thanks.

Usually there is a panel with screws that you can take off or access it through a cabinet door. When we replaced our water heater on our old Dutchman most everything was done outside of the camper minus the actual connection of the water lines. That required squeezing in the lower bunk storage area and a lot of swearing.
