Furnace lights and stops over and over

Hello, I have a 2016 3160RL. I've been having problems with my furnace lighting and staying lit. It will stop and start 5 or 6 times before it actually stays lit and heats the rig. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Could be a problem with a sticking sail switch or a restirction in your vent system.

I have replaced the probe that measures heat at the flame. The probe sends a signal to the controller that says yes, keep sending fuel because there is a flame burning. As opposed to sending fuel and not being burned, creating a cloud of unburned fuel. It is a simple fix if that is the problem.

I also have had the same problem but only when it is raining. Weather dries up and no issues.

I had a problem with my 2019 Montana High Country with the Atwood AFMD35131 furnace which is mounted vertically. After a severe rain/windstorm furnace would not light. After 2 days of troubeshooting (not close to dealer), pulled the gas valve and found water in the burner. Spoke to RV tech and he said he has seen 3 of them with water in the burners in the last year. Cleaned the burner and installed and the furnace lighted on 1st try and seems to be working fine. Has anyone else had this happen?

Yes, tornado went by some miles away, but we got the wind, rain and hail. Furnace wouldn't stay lit till I took a hairdryer and got everything inside as dry as possible. It took about a half hour and several trys using the on\off switch on the unit until whatever was wet dried out enough to let the burner run continuously. There was water on the circuit board, most of the connectors near it and the solenoid switch and other components going to the burner.

Get a roll of caulk like they use to install windows 1” wide X 1/4” thick to make a gasket for the outside furnace door no more moisture in furnace

The water is not coming in through the door gasket, it is coming in through the exhaust tube. I've been working with Dometic and they are familiar with the problem and have sent replacement parts to the dealer. They are replacing the corroded burner and oriface, but so far don't have a remedy to stop the water from entering the exhaust and going into the burner area. If they don't come up with a solution I may make a metal rain cover to go over the exhaust and attach it do the furnace door.

We had similar problem with water in the burner removed burner, dried out, wire brushed, and re installed. Fixed it, but next trip to dealer ( unit under warranty, but they could not fix when I needed it) they installed additional screw to outside housing and redid silicone caulking Fixed
