Hi

To my knowledge there isn’t any “underbelly” duct. The heater return air returns from the living area thru the steps to the bedroom on our model and pulls it thru the area that may be considered the underbelly back to the furnace.

I just never looked close at the system we don’t ever plan on getting in sub 0 weather. If it gets cold enough here In South Florida to worry about that I will put the trailer on a barge and take it to Puerto Rico. LOL

Go around your fiver and find the furnace exhaust port ... the furnace will be directly inside the fiver at that point. As for the duct, once you can visually locate the furnace, there will be a much smaller flexible duct just lopped down into the underbelly ... that will be it. Your belly pan is by no means air tight, so don't expect the underbelly to be toasty warm from end to end. If a water line is laying directly against say your frame I Beam itself, it'll probably freeze in that spot when it gets well below 32 out.

Hi Dieselguy

I never locked I will have to the next time I have the basement wall down. My furnace is located where I can see the back of it or what I think is the back of it from the basement when the wall isn’t there.

I thought I read on the forum last year that there was a small flexible piece of ductwork that dumped into the underbelly on most, if not all Montana's. I haven't had my underbelly down on either of the models I have owned so I have no idea of where it is located or how long it is.

Looking online at the floorplan ... I'd guess your furnace is below your shower. If so, to actualy see it you'll have to peer behind the convenience center white pastic wall inside your storage bay or remove it by simply taking out a half dozen screws and sliding it towards he middle of your storage bay. Unless Keystone has changed things in the past year or so ... hanging down into the underbelly ... it's just a small 2" flex duct coming off the furnace heat exchanger . There's no register or vent on the end of the duct.

Ours also. Since I also wanted to protect some things in the basement I drilled a three additional 1" holes in the ductwork under the bedroom.

That’s where the dealer found the vent for the black tank, cut to proper lengths and neatly stacked behind the basement wall.

This is about the only repair the dealer did that seems to be correct.

This picture may help you to see how the "underbelly" receives heat from the furnace beyond where the area above the tanks that is open to the underbelly. How much heat gets to the "mid" holding tank and the rear fresh water tank is smoke and mirrors.

The lower small 2" hose is about 6" longer than the picture shows and just lays in the area where the tanks are located. The other smaller hose goes to the screaming vent in the bathroom, the larger 4" goes to the ducting that feeds the bedroom. The remainder of the unit is heated from the ducting located under the furnace heat exchanger and routed to the back of the unit, it is not visible but is there.

Going by my memory I think I am missing about 2/3 of the ducting in that picture. As I remember I only have one flexible duct in that area and it goes to a vent in the basement wall to heat the basement.
