WATTS WATER REGULATOR ADJUSTMENT

I have a Watts N45B M1 water pressure regulator that is pre-set to 50 lbs. I would like to increase the water pressure to 60-65 lbs. I do not have a pressure gage to put inline to check the water pressure setting nor do I know how to adjust the regulator.

Does anyone know how to adjust the regulator ?? Which way do I turn the set screw on top ?? How much pressure would each full turn of the set screw increase the water pressure ??

In advance, thanks for your help.

This will tell you how to adjust it, but without a pressure gage you won't know what exactly you are doing. http://media.wattswater.com/1915390.pdf It does say it's set initially for 50psi and it's max is 75psi so you might be able to figure # of turns between initial setting and full open to get near where you want to be, but it will be a guess.

You could adjust your regulator to 100 psi, but you will still only get as much pressure as there is at the hose going to your trailer. You would be wise to not go much over 50 psi, as the plumbing system in these rigs can't handle the higher pressure. The newer rigs use Pex piping, which can handle the pressure, but it's all the fixtures that will fail at the higher pressure. We have a pressure gauge on a fitting where the hose connects. I connect the hose and turn on the park water. If the pressure is about 50 psi, I don't install the regulator. If it's over, I install the regulator at the park's hose faucet, which will also protect the hose.
