Buzzing noise

We purchased a 2019 Montana high country 330RL. We have noticed a buzzing sound that turns on and off near the fuse box. Took it in for service and could not hear it when they plugged in, nor when plugged in at home. We only hear it when plugged into campsites.
Any suggestions?

I think it is the converter fan. My understanding is they are part of the fuse panel now. On my older model, it isn't a buzzing, but a hum. For each 12v light you turn on the fan speeds up. If this is what is happening, it is normal and ok. At least something to check out.

My guess as well. Ours is a bit noisy once in a while.

Converter fan is my guess as well. I replaced the converter in our HC a couple years ago when it became loud enough for me to hear without my heraing aids. If it's a separate, deck mount converter, easy replacement once you pull the barrier wall out - 4 mounting screws, 3 power wire screws and a plug in to the rear of the power panel.



Oh and disconnect all power first. T

Dave, what brand converter did you go with and did you access it through the passenger side basement?

I replaced in kind with a WFCO WF-9875, doing a bit of an 'uprate' from the OEM WF-9865 (https://wfcoelectronics.com/?s=WF-9875). Don't recall the supplier tho AMAZON has them for more bucks. My reason for continuing with the same brand is ease of drop in hookup as other brands usuallyrequire some rewiring to attach a 20 amp plug and pigtail.


To access it, you may need to pull out the entire bulkhead to reach the fuse/distribution center, but yes, it is kinda on the passenger side. This also might be an opportune time to install a 'permanent' surge protector but you will need about 5-6 feet of 6Awg wire (3 conductors + ground).

Thanks Dave. I wanted to see what converter came in our 16 High Country as I am thinking of ditching the 12v deep cycle battery and going with 2 6v batteries That is the 1 place I haven't checked because where I have it stored the unit next to me is parked too close to open the pass thru door to get in there to work.
