Love our new Montana

Terry and I are proud owners of our new 07 Montana 3400RL. And new to the MOC. We have it set up on a Seasonal lake lot that we lease. We have owned it for only a short 3 months and enjoying it immensely. We have been campers for 30 + years (owned much smaller campers) but have never felt as spoiled with such a beautiful unit. We plan on taking it out on its maiden cruise next summer. Any suggestions as to where the easiest places to visit to break this beauty in?? Not interested in mountains yet. Thanks for any info.

Terry and Sharon,
First of all, welcome to the MOC family. And congrats on owning your first Montana. You made a good choice. We purchased our Big Sky 2007 a month ago. Where are you? Many of us have traveled all over the country as you will see from our maps.

Skbstone, congrats on the new 3400. Sounds like a great setup on a seasonal lake lot.

As for where to go, that's up to you. I would go to nearby CGs with short trips from home. You learn a lot from setting up and taking down. The driving doesn't seem to be a problem for most people. Some people say that it handles so well that "they didn't know the trailer was there". Well I know it is there, but it does handle very well. Just remember it is behind you when you make a turn.LOL

Welcome to MOC and enjoy your 3400.

Congratulations Terry and Shannon -

For a short voyage, I would take that 3400 right over there to Lake McConaughy and get the full hookups at the State Park. Might see you there!

Thank you Salle,
We are in Nebraska and can't wait to get our Montana on the road next year. It's great to be a part of the MOC family and are looking to purchasing some MOC items to display and wear. I am in the process of getting our map up on my signature. Not very many states so far to fill in, however with our Montana, we have big plans to fill up the map!!!

Congratulations on your new unit. I agree with the others on taking a few short trips until you get use to it.

i don't know where in NE you are at but Mahoney state Park is a wonderful place to go--if you go there let us know and we may be able to meet you there. we are 20 miles from there.
