I'm back
Not really new, but it's been a while since I've been on here. A lot has happened over the past few years, so I figured I'd catch up and see how everyone is doing. In 2010, everything going well, Leslie and I renewed our vows and we had moved into our new home. Then the economic downturn hit and all went away in a flash. The company I worked for started to head down hill and they felt my salary would save the day, so I was let go. With the income gone some tough decisions had to be made, so unfortunately, our Montana became the sacrificial lamb, so to speak. We had to let her go. We were able however to get her out for one parting trip, so three weeks and multiple campgrounds later, we came home to prep her to move on. We find ourselves some nine years and several jobs later, still in our home and retired. The last of my employers being Smith RV in Idaho Falls, from which I learned a great deal. These days, Leslie and I are still without another Montana, although we still look and try and figure out how to make that happen. We now tour the country on a big Honda Goldwing and spend our camping nights in some of the same camp grounds we frequented with our 5th wheel. I still walk the camp sites and look at the rigs I find there, noting where everyone is from, and swap a few lies with those friendly folks who are unfortunate enough to allow me to. So anyway, I'm back for a visit and to see what I've missed over the years. Drive safe and enjoy.

Good to hear from you! We kept the Montana, but when we went full time we had to give up the Goldwing. You may be missing what we have, but at times we miss what you have.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll be around again sometime as I've remembered why I stayed away. DQDick, it isn't you, but it appears if a suggestion is given and some disagree, courtesy goes away. You have a great Summer, drive safe and keep the shiny side up.

Welcome back Dave! Sorry to hear you had to sell the Monte but maybe someday you'll get another and maybe even one that you can haul your Goldwing in. Montana does make a toyhauler now and you just might be able to accommodate both the travel and the Goldwing at the same time. Take care and hope to see you around on the road in the future!
