Silly Light Switch Question
Hello all, I purchased my 2004 Montana about 8 months ago and I am wondering if anyone can help me. There is a set of 3 light switches on the left-hand side right when you come into the entry door. One controls the outside light, another controls the overhead 12v light on the ceiling. However I cannot figure out what the middle switch controls. It doesn't seem to control any of the lights or the outlets in that area, and finding an electrical diagram is impossble.

It helps to know what model you have. But I found in your Profile that you have a 2955RL. I had one of them a long time ago. Neither my wife of I can recall the purpose of the three switches beyond what you have discovered. Are there possibly under cabinet lights over the chairs that are not working?
The good news is there are active members here with that era 2955RL who should be able to answer your question (and refresh my memory)

Didn't units prior to 2017 have a SCARE Light on the opposite side from the door? These were notorious for burning out the bulbs.

On my 06 the third switch is for the scare lights. These are the outside lights on the sides up high towards the front of the rig. Some refer to them as Flood Lights. Other two are for the porch light and interior overhead 12v lights.

We have a 2011. There are three light switches in a little door that also houses the tanks level indicator, awning control and slide controls. the three lights switches control the overhead ceiling lights in the living area, the porch light over the stairs and then the third switch is for two outside lights. One on the camp side top front corner and the other side of the camper in the middle towards the top.

3 switches
I’m not familiar with your particular model but here are a few possibilities. The scare light as previously mentioned. Awning lights or a switch for an outside power outlet.

My 04 is a RK, but the 3rd switch in that group
Is indeed the scare lights. Mine has one on the front right corner and about midship on the left side above sewer dump, outside shower, etc.
If they don’t come on check fuse (easiest) and then for burned out bulbs. Less likely… bad switch.
Good luck!

My 2006 has the three light switches. The middle on operates the outside flood lights. One on each side at the top near the front. The one on the left operates the insides overhead lights. The one on the right operates the porch light near the door.

Our 2021 3121 RL has the 3rd switch as the scare light, drivers side. I promptly labeled all switches and the changed out the bright white LED hitch light to an amber lense.

I used to have a 2004, it had a 3 light switch like you describe.
For the 3rd one it was either a flood light on the other side of the rv or a light behind the stairs (like an amber light to illuminate the walkway). I can't recall which.
When it's dark try flipping the switch and see if you can see something happen.
