Dish Wally and Pathway X2

We have the normal incompatible stock wiring in our 18.5 3811, which I expected.
I placed and setup the system and ran the cable thru a window till I pull new wire this summer.
System worked fine for 2 weeks, one afternoon I turn the TV on and get message of complete signal loss. Have checked ohms of cable, changed to new cable all with no success. Pathway is an auto finding antenna, cant get it to move at all. Did a system reboot, have done total receiver file dump, nothing.......
thinking an antenna failure?? there seems to be no communication between the receiver and the antenna.
Winegard customer support was closed Sat. evening and Sunday so thought I'd ask here.

Try using the reset button on your wally and/or unplugging it and leaving it off for 30 seconds or so - occasionally they will lock up and this should force a restart.

Any chance you know someone else with a receiver to test the antenna with or test your wally with another antenna? Does it go through the normal start up asking to scan after the reset and then stop with the complete signal loss message? If it doesn't go to the start up, it is more apt to be an issue with the receiver vice the antenna.

I have been looking for a friendly camper with a dish system to talk with, so not yet.
Yes Wally wanted to do a switch check before doing the complete reset, now stops midcheck as dish is not moving to search at all. That is why i'm thinking antenna failure as the cable tests fine and have tried another piece of new short cable.

I had a similar problem with my X2 and found that the coax was too long. Do you have a long cable? 50 ft. is about max but 25 ft. or less is much faster. Also, you might try connecting the X2 by using its second outlet if you haven't already.

If you are running 50 ft. you are within the limits. I had 100 ft. and it was hit and miss. I could connect but it took a long time. I went down to 25 ft. and saw fast search/downloads. Another common coax problem is the quality. Quad shielded RG6 is recommended. In your case the problem seems to be in another area. Are you able to take your Wally to your house or somewhere else and check it that way?

Lol we'll be back in the Adirondacks sometime first week of May, been in Fla since mid March.
cable is digital RG6 from direct tv.
hope to get wally hooked to another dish for a download, not many channels over the air, and park cable sucks
