Warranty Cards
So we picked up our new 294 RL last week. Used the inspection sheets from the Forum-all went well. Immediately drove over to the CAT scales and did an empty weight. That’s a different topic for another thread but I will say the pin weight came out to 2350 lbs.
So today I’m filling out warranty cards ( Furrion, Dexter, LCI, etc). It turned into a 5 hour process. Yes I went up on the roof, but did I write down the make, model and serial numbers for the air units? No
How do I get the model and serial numbers for the tank heaters? Of course the list goes on: water pump, water heater, tires, rain sensing vent fans, Of course there is usually more than one Manufacturer. Anyway you get the idea-are owners actually filling them all out?
In hindsight, I should have made notes for this info on the inspection checklist plus the individual warranties vary by product also.. Damn, forgot to get the info for the awnings-got to go.

I have not filled out the cards but did take pictures of every nameplate/model/serial number and filed in folders in my computer.
I then researched every manufacturer and created a bookmark for their website.
Downloaded manuals and any other info that I could find, saving into their respective folder.
I think in the end, as long as you have the VIN, model, manufacturer, model, serial and IN SERVICE DATE, when you contact them, the card may not have been necessary.

I like the photo idea. One would think that when the unit was delivered there would be a complete list of the Make, Model, Serial, along with warranty information of every item that was covered by warranty.
But it is what it is-certainly makes one take a look at everything-now if I could just find those tank heater numbers!
Thanks
Happy Easter

I just did the big ticket stuff like fridge, a/c. Tires have a born on date built in so they're done. More concerned for recall purposes than warranty.

We got a HC 381TH last October. Camping World gave me a printout of everything installed with all the needed info. I came right from Keystone.

A good dealer does all the warranty registrations for the customer. Mine does.

for the most part I've never really filled out any warranty cards...maybe for the refrig and dvd player.
You are over thinking the whole thing. If you have a problem just tell them when you purchased the rig.
