batteries

i would like to add at least one possibly 2 more batteries to my 3931fb. the batteries they put in are ac delco acdm27dc. the are 845 mca 650cca rc. 160 rc converts to 66.66 amp hours. question is do i have to use the same brand, and if i wanted to use agm batteries can you mix agm with flooded cell batteries? one thing is if they would both charge, and even if the charger is capable of charging the agm battery. i need to find out what kind of charger is in my unit. any input on this would be greatly appreciated.
thx

Your converter will charge AGM batteries because they are also lead acid batteries, but regardless of what batteries you have, you should use all matched batteries, even the same age batteries. Using mismatched batteries will cause the stronger batteries to hog the load so you will not get the most available performance from all the batteries equally.

I basically want to do the same thing for a little bit of boondocking (enough to run the furnace overnight). I can recharge with the truck or generator.
Current RV battery (that's what's CW installed)
= BCI 27, CCA 650, res cap 150 minutes, 90 AH
battery I want to add = BCI 65, CCA 750, res cap 140 minutes. AH = ??? Dont know.

So you are saying this is doable (not optimal) and the worst thing that would happen is the batteries would not share the load (I'm guessing recharging too) equally?
I am planning on changing to LI batteries down the road. I do not know what converter I have (2019, 3130re, Anniversary Edition, says its solar ready??). I'm guessing I will need to upgrade it when I do the batteries.

my batteries are not that old. picked up 5th wheel on aug 28. if the only problem is that they may not last as long I may just try it. I would like to go li also but not at this time . we do not do a lot of dry camping maybe a stopover somewhere in our travels . here is an article on converting rc to amp hrs

If your present battery is not very old and is in good condition, you shouldn't have any problems adding additional new batteries equal to the present battery.
