Furrion Back up Camera

Hi guys, I have a quick question, can I add cameras to the existing camera that I have? (the back up camera that came with the coach) I want to add 2 cameras left and right side of the coach. Thinking about just replacing then entire system as the image is not the best and the screen is so small. thoughts....?

Tony

I just purchased Furrion system. I wanted the 4 camera system but I didn't like red marker light camera for the rear that came in the package system. So I purchased them separately. I got the 7" display that came with the blade camera for the rear. Then purchased the 2 side marker light cameras and also got another blade camera. So I have the 7" display with the 2 side marker light cameras and 2 blade cameras. The one blade camera will go on the rear and second blade camera, which they say is a door camera, I will mount on my front cap. Since I will already have 2 side cameras I don't need a second camera for my door because the side camera will already cover my door. I will place it on my front cap so, not for when I am driving, it is so I will have 360 deg view around my camper when I'm parked. I was told by Furrion that they may be coming out with a display that will record to an sd card in the future. They could not say for sure but it was something that was discussed.

Yes. I have that set up. I also modified the side camera bulbs to use the LEDs from the stock marker lights you have to remove. The Furion side cameras come with incandescent bulbs.

Can you help me, maybe send or attach a link where you got the 2 side cameras and the monitor? I cant seem to find the monitor sold without the rear camera, I know my rear camera won't be as good and the sides and thats ok I don't use the rear that much anyway, the sides will be really helpful to have.

Thanks, Tony

It's not cheap. It cost me $900.00 + to put my 4 camera system together.

Furrion sells the 7" display separately.

https://furrion.com/products/7-display

Amazon has the 2 side marker cameras.

When you mean modified do you mean that you just installed led bulbs in the fixtures or did you have to change the sockets to take led bulbs. If you just installed led bulbs what number bulbs did you use? I want to change all my marker light bulbs to led.

Thank you for the link, 465 and another 230 for the other cameras, not horrible, the camera Keystone installed in the rear would be able to sync with this monitor right? I cant find the instruction manual for the system that came with the coach. Don't want to spend money on a rear camera if I don't have too...

If it looks the same as the Furrion camera, then you should be able to resync to new 7" display. Each camera has a sync button.

The best thing to do is contact Furrion (800) 789-3341. They will be able to answer all your questions. Since your rig is a 2018 you probably have the latest generation camera on it but it doesn't hurt to ask them.
You can also call Keystone give them the vin # of your RV and they will be able to look up the build sheet for it. It will tell you everything that was put in your RV when it was built. It will list the options and appliances that it came with from the factory.
I bought my 2012 rv used in 2014. I contacted Keystone and the emailed me a copy of my build sheet. It listed all the options and upgrades that my RV has. I also got a list of the make and model numbers of all the appliances in my rig. It also had a test signoff sheet which show that each appliance was tested and the signature of the tech that tested it. It's great info to have.
If I need a part for any of my appliances I already have the make and model numbers and don't have to look for it or remove anything to find it.

I did call and those of us who have coaches less then 1 year old we are SOL. The system installed is the older system and the existing back up camera will not work with the new vision S system. Just a FYI for those looking to add cameras you will need to remove the old back up camera and install the new one, I guess the good thing is the power connector is the same so just time and money ! LOL, thank you everyone !

So I found the 7 inch monitor with the new rear camera and the 2 side cameras for 760 no tax and free shipping. Upgrade time. Thanks everyone for the input. Might repurpose the old into at the door or sell don’t know yet.

Some thing to think about. Rear view safety Co. I hard wired my 2019 Montana. Two side cams, one rear cam. The 8" monitor is next to me driving, I can switch from left / right or rear. Check them out they have basic to wild systems + wireless. Running the wires can be tasking, but you will have positive viewing all the time.

12 VDC power tapped into marker lights. Lights must be on to use.

Yes they do and yes it works.

But I need a constant 12V DC source for to power a dash cam pointing backwards. I just want it on 24/7.

Any ideas on closest source for my needs?

Wait, sorry, I did not mean to jump your topic. I’ll start my own.
