Step Pads

I'm new to the forum and my 2012 Montana 3100RL. Right now I'm trying to figure out where I can get new pads for the bottom two step of the stairs. The pads are held to the steps by clips, two in front and two in back. (On motorhomes I've owned the pads are attached with springs that run under the steps.) I've looked for replacement pads on Amazon but nothing like that is listed. Does anyone know where I can get replacement pads? Thanks.

As Montanas never come with step covers those had to be added by a previous owner (duh). I have never seen any attached by clips. I use the ones with the springs. Do you have a picture of the clips that we can see?

You can replace with the ones with springs from CW or Walmart.

step pads

Got mine at Walmart. Seems like they were Camco step covers ~$8 each step. Camping World may have had more color selections but I seem to think that Walmart was cheaper. These things tend to wear-thru in year or two of use - but at $8 they are easy enough to replace. They come with grommet holes and long springs to clip together under each step. Sometimes I run a zip tie thru them to achieve a bit more positive/tight fit.

As stated, Walmart, CW, any rv parts seller, even Amazon. There are two different widths, so double check to make sure you get the right size. I have never experienced significant wear, the ones I put our 2015 look brand new ( well kind of dirty) and we snowbird half the year. Carpet and cheap fiber material, get the carpet.

You are so right about the fiber material Mike. I have 4 curved steps and bought the wraparound radius at $20 per step. Cheap material but not a cheap price and are falling apart at the seams.
