3400RL Mystery Leak

My 3400RL has a closet inside the entry door. After a rainy weekend we found that the bottom of the closet door was wet and swelled up enough that the door would no longer close. The bottom of the door frame adjacent to the door was the same way. The floor is dry, as is the rest of the door and frame and none of the walls are wet. I didn't see any pooled water anywhere else in the area. Any clues?

Do you have a bathroom/toilet on the other side of the closet wall?

Or a sink that could have a failed backflow preventer under it?

I believe the backflow preventer on a 3400 is in the wall between the shower and the pantry cabinet. On some 3400 models, the water pump is beneath the stairs adjacent to the closet. The toilet is directly adjacent to the closet as well, I would be looking in those two places to start with. Also check the seals on the basement doors, as they are directly adjacent to the closet as well.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out. The toilet is on the other side of the wall.

Check your toilet vent on the roof for cracks in the pipe or sealant . You said after a rain all was wet or I would have suggested you check the washer connection in the closet.
