Invaded by the "fiberglass group"!

UPDATE: Tried to get a photo of all the little rigs in the park, but their tow vehicles absolutely dwarf them and the rigs hardly show up!

Our RV park has been invaded by 56 rigs belonging to the "fiberglass group," formerly known as the Casita group. The name was changed to include all Casita-style rigs, although the majority here are Casitas. Looking out at all the white RVs at this rally is like looking at a gathering of albino pillbugs. Where are the 5th-wheels? Where are the mountain graphics? This rally just doesn't look right!

Our Montana has been very lonely down here. Since we arrived on June 1st, we've had fewer than 5 Montana/Mountaineers in the park, and never more than one at a time. We're really outnumbered now.

A least with the difference in size they'll never pick a fight with you.

Gee... I didn't realize you moved back to Texas?? Just for the winter I hope! I bet you don't miss Dillon much this time of year.. (we missed seeing you last year when we were passing thru).. At least you won't have to take your 5'r to BRETZ if you have a problem down there. BTW... Bretz is a LOT better than Pierce here in Billings (especially if you didn't buy from them).

Hook one behind the Monty and it can be a Pet Condo!

Boy that's the truth. Although we have a couple here for the next couple weeks that are full timing in a Big Foot. They moved up to that from a Casita, but it's still not as large as our living room. Don't have any idea how they do it.

Dick and Sandi, we're also sorry that we missed you when you came through Dillon. We're only in Texas and at the Matagorda Bay Nature Center RV Park through the end of February. Because the weather is so iffy in Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado then, we're going to leave here, go to Austin, and spend 4 - 6 weeks there and in the Hill Country before returning to Dillon (and even then, we know the weather is not great, but we have to be back by mid-April for our daughter's dance school's recital and to see our granddaughter dance).

We will be visiting Bretz when we return because we have a tiny leak, clear water, dripping from the rear belly of our rig occasionally. It never makes a spot more than 6" in diameter, and it doesn't happen every day, but still, something is leaking somewhere.

I'm going to get a photo of the Casita/fiberglass rally from the second-story deck of the park office and will post it this weekend. The rigs are so tiny that our view of the water isn't blocked at all, which isn't the case when the usual crowd of toy-haulers, 5th-wheelers, etc., come in for a week. There's a Casita-oriented on-site repair/supplies guy here. His sign says he's the "Little House" man.

Carolyn

My sister and BIL have a Casita, and we call it a pod. You've been invaded by the Pod People!

Guess I'm just not into the lifestyle all the way yet. I thought they were the RV'ing version of sleeping on the couch when in trouble. Just pull it behind, and hope you don't have to spend the night in it--hahahaha. Happy Trails, Steve
