Rear Stabilizer Use

Was wondering if you use stabilizers with Level Up system.

Factory installed Level-up rigs don't have rear stabilizers. So no we don't use them.

We kept the rear JT stabilizers when we had the level up system installed. If Louise remembers, than we use them. Me, I just push the button.

We, like several others on this forum, will be using the rear stabilizer after we get level up installed next month.

No need for them with the level up. Waste of time/energy!

We use our rear stabilizers. They are there; why not use them? Just extra stabilization.

I use mine if I'm staying for a week or two, but otherwise I don't. They do help a little even with the Level Up.

Only used the rear stabilizers once since installing Level-Up, we had to stop for the night due to extremely high winds. I dropped them so that we would have 2 additional points of contact with the ground.

Since they're already there I can't see not using them in situations like that.

Like others, if we are set up for a while, we use our stab jacks. We find that they help.

There is no reason to have stabilizers with the Level Up system.
our 5th Wheel is more solid with the Level up then our old rig was with all the stabilizers.
Just saying

Our level up is going to be installed during the rally and will probably try it both ways and see which we like best. Kinda like personal preference! Some will like it without and some with!!!

Hi,
We have a Montana 3761fl with auto leveling. We are currently setup for a 6 month stay. We’ve noticed that we are seeing a fair amount of movement and believe it is mostly coming from the rear of the RV. I can stand in the rear easily cause movement that is felt even in the front with very little effort. I’m considering using 2 scissor jacks to stabilize the rear where I believe most if not all the movement is originating. I’ve seen suggestions that I could manually use the auto leveling system to raise the RV to reduce tire contact to the ground to stabilize. Do you suggest this? Will the leveling system handle being used this way. New to RV world so trying not to make dumb mistakes or read more into a previous post here. I do have a pin tripod being shipped but not convinced this was a good idea so may return it any information you or anyone can provide is very appreciated!

I bought the Anderson leveling jack blocks and my rig is solid with no movement. They are pricey. I think I paid $250.00 for the 6. They have powerful magnets that make attaching them to the bottom of your jacks a breeze. They also keep dirt and crap from getting on your jacks, which could get on the shaft and cause a seal leak. Just a suggestion.

Hi 432,

That sounds like a great idea. I can always return them if it does solve or at reduce the movement. However, I like the fact they’re magnetic and decreased maintenance. Always a plus.

Thank you for taking the time to respond!

They sure are proud of those Anderson buckets. $$$. I just made 6 hollow blocks out of 3/4 plywood with a center support. They are 6" tall and 10x10. They serve the same exact purpose and cost next to nothing.

The whole purpose is to reduce the stroke of the legs which makes the camper wobble much less.

Even with the jack stroke at next to nothing, it's that long overhang behind the rear jacks that will give you some movement. Some are added the electric stabilizer jacks that were on Montanas before the Level-Up was added.

My level up is aftermarket so I also have the rear jacks. I use them on occasion if some else is staying with us.

A little wiggle in the trailer doesn't hurt anything. However, my Lippert 6 point level-up system doesn't allow much shake. It's pretty solid. The only time I feel wiggle is when the grand son is with us (he's 7) and more jumpie than a kangaroo running from a poacher.
