Oil continued its plunge on the world markets overnight..now down 4.07 at 91.66. This is interesting stuff folks and history in the making. IMO..The ciminal acts of speculators and money managers here in the good old USA in the commodities market, investment houses, banks, mortgage lenders, etc will forever change our economy not to mention the world economy the multitudes of folks who have been hurt bad and those who have yet to feel the effect of the miss management of their investment and pension funds. I hope we can understand who the bad guys are and where they live and do something to prevent this from happening again...It usually takes a disaster of this magnitude to bring about lasting change.

Yesterday a politician (can't say who, as that is political) said in an interview that "Wall Street created a culture of gamblers that have hurt the futures and retirements of millions of Americans", and "... some on Wall Street have treated Wall Street like a casino."
Have to agree with that statement regarding the root cause as to what is now happening with our economy. Except I have to disagree with the term "SOME". Should be "MOST" in my view.
This is not meant to be political - strictly financial focus.

"Sept. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Gasoline traders diverted about 20 tanker loads of the fuel headed for New York to the Gulf of Mexico after hurricanes Gustav and Ike reduced southern U.S. refinery output, said Fearnleys A/S, an Oslo-based shipbroker"
Do we understand that Oil tankers deliver oil to the East coat and oil is refined on the East coast and set to States like Ohio via Pipelines from the East Coast.None of that was affected. So why does disruption of the Gulf Coast pipeline where we do not get oil/fuel cause the price of fuel to Increase in Ohio??? There has been no shortage here..all stations open and fuel deliveries are normal.

rest of the day, we were in Clinton (usually good prices) and Ann Arbor (whewie, higher than Lenawee County) and saw "D" as $4.29 and $4.19, Gas $4.29 to $3.89

Ok, as of 1 hour ago gas for $3.98 diesel was $3.97. It's been awhile since I've seen diesel less than gas. Glad we have the new truck. Stacy This price was at the Meijers in Three Rivers, MI

Gas dropped 10 cents overnight..got diesel this AM at 4.019 circle K..Now we know that the increase in oil yesterday was due to the stock market meltdown.Any one notice that what happens in The USA financial market affects the entire planet.??? Therefore our meltdown is everyones meltdown... We caused our meltdown..We are the bad guys.
