What is this WHITE STUFF falling from the sky???

We leave two weeks from tomorrow and it won't be soon enough!! Today is opening day of Deer Season (Gun), and it is snowing and blowing some white outs!! We had about 8 in last week over 3 days and it all melted by the weekend but its back with a vengeance, its just too darn COLD for my blood here, FL here we come... Same thing happened last year only we had about 2 feet of the white stuff on Thanksgiving, and didn't get out of here until the 29th. All kidding aside it is pretty, but enough is enough, I have seen it and it can wait until we are gone to come back!!

Have a safe journey to the warmer climate. I have to stay put and endure the winter here in Kansas since the job is still here. Only 2 more winters to go.

Trying to time the weather is like trying to time the market. Neither works very well.

Keep that snow there!
We have already had one snow in Oct. About 4 inches or more.

Hopefully we will be out of here by January!! If our house sells. That is what I want for Christmas is house sold!

Here in Georgia where we are, sometimes I wish it would snow.
When it gets cold enough to and doesn't, it makes for a long winter.
If it snowed at least there would be a good reason for the cold.
Hoping you have a smooth and safe trip down to warmer weather!

Lisa, we finally made it out of Wisconsin, 4 days ahead of a 10" dump. We got into King's Bay Monday and will be here till Saturday morning, then it is up to Savannah whether or not the site is available. If it isn't we will stay a few days at Skidaway state park. Any longer than that and we will head to Statesboro to stay with friends until the site opens in Savannah. We wish we could have brought three weeks worth of rain with us, we usually do. But we don't tow snow behind us, just rain...Dave and Betsy

Sure glad I'm not down there Glenn! All that sunshine would just make my skin tan, old and wrinkly! Yuk- Yuk- Yuk!!!! Here in Omaha it's been in the mid 50's and 60's during the day and in the upper 30's to mid- 40's at night! Wouldn't be Thanksgiving without some snow but who knows what Mother Nature will provide this year! Everyone have a great Thanksgiving! I'm catering in prime rib and all the trimmings! I will probably smoke a turkey just to be in the spirit of the holiday!!

That's why we leave N. MI in Oct. Still taking a chance. Last year, the first week in Oct was bad, bad, bad. Tons of snow in our summer place - ground zero of NW Lower MI snow belt (Antrim Co). Fortunately, we left last year early (Sept). This year we had an unusually mild Oct and left the middle of Oct before they got hit. Daughter called today and she had to drive home in a blizzard yesterday. All of our kids have 4x4s to ferry our grandkids around in that stuff.

Today we got sunburned here. 75, sunny. Warmer tomorrow. I'm going golfing with a friend.

Here in N.W Ohio we are being spared the 'Lake Effect" snow the eastern suburbs are getting. In the Morning I drive my School bus 40 miles East into the snow belt and usually get dumped on...Hope it holds for another 8 days.
