Duo Therm Thermostat
I have this thermostat that either freezes you or you are sweating. Wondering if Ozzie would have an idea how to change the differential on it to maybe 5 degrees. It seems to be about a 15 degree differential on it now. Is there a good replacement? I took it off the wall thinking the slide might be on the back...it is a circuit board and didn't see any adjustments.

There are some instructions out on changing them to a 'Hunter' digital thermostat; Ozz may have them in his portfolio but I didn't see them (he has a bunch of updates and he should be by shortly. I just tried a search on our forum and got no hits(tried twice - once got no hits, changed my query and got timed out) but on RV.net had several. In any case, although I have not done it as yet, the instructions appear to be very clear and easy to follow. This change out then gives you a digit thermostat with a plus/minus 1 degree swing -- will keep the trailer much more consistent winter or summer. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

I'd PM Ozz and have him answer the question. He had his listed in one of his mods I thought.

Guys, here are some links. I would have to see your unit, but if you state the thermostat has no adjustments, just the P.C. board, one would think the dip switches would be on the board in the front A/C unit. I will look at these as well, but I have to ask, where is your thermostat mounted? If by a heat duct, consider the air from the furnace, (or A/C duct, same deal) This would give problems. Mine is mounte in the corner by my fireplace on my 3400RL. (A good location.)

Fulltimedreamer has a web site with the wiring diagram for the Hunter. The Mountaineer came with an analog thermostat, and heat or cooling, it was very erratic. I had a Hunter I had removed in the stick house upgrade, and it was an easy swap.

JP, I installed 4 of these at one of my accounts this late Summer, they were White Rodgers, but the same set up.
I really like the 3 fan settings on ours in the Monte, it has served me well, and we really don't need a programmable one. I am wondering how this one interfaces with the P.C. board on the A/C unit, probably another big can of worms I don't want to open.......

Got that new stat installed today. Works great! I do wonder why they are using -7.5 vdc for the RH/RC instead of +7.5 vdc. Anyway, I figured it out thanks to everybody's help. Thanks to all!
