Not to long ago I read a post about heating vents. At the time I did not need to close them, But with what happened to my 15 year old dog I found out I have to. We were on a two week trip when my dog got her paw caught in the heating vent to free her I had to take off the vent. My wife had a idea how to fix the vent she went to a craft store and got magnitic sheet and cut them to fit the vent covers, It works great and keep the dirt out of the vents
