After much discussion and feed back from those who have the vac we decided to add it to our option list when ordering..Where do you get the bags..what is the part number and how much do they cost..will look around for some.

Thanks for the info. It is on the 2955RL we made a deal on yesterday and just to look at it you wonder if it is worth the price, sounds like it is. We went with the Spruce interior, we like the Desert Sunset just as much but this unit had everything we wanted, Double pane glass , Arctic Pkg and my wife thought the King size bed option , although very nice, makes it a little harder to make the bed and makes it a little tighter to get at the closet so we are not that big of people and a Queen works well for us at home. The Desert Sunset one had the King and the Spruce had the Queen we wanted. With the money we saved , it helped pay for the washer/dryer that they are putting in for us. This is another 180 pounds right on the hitch but I have a F350 and she rides better with more weight in the box. Thanks again.
Also, It has the sofa table which we think takes up too much floor space in a unit this size. we will probably leave that home.
We pick it up Thur and we can hardly wait. It is real nice to have a website where you can get ideas for the new Montana. Take care.

Wrench,
Good points on the bed size but it wasn't really an option for me. I am 6'3" and we had a "queen" in our old trailer and it wasn't even close to big enough for me. I love the king and so does Sadie (our dog) extra room for her too!

We like the queen bed too and the sliding wood door between the bed and bath area that does not come on the new ones because of the king bed.

We love our Dometic vac. Use it all the time, found a fishnet type bag to store all the attachments in and keep them close by in the closet. We too would like to know if there is a good source for bags at a discount price???

Camping World has the bags which are a little expensive. However, the package also has the filter which has to be changed every 3 or 4 bags. I haven't looked for any place else for the bags. If someone has found them that include the filter, please post.
Happy trails...................

I got replacement bags at camping world as well. They sell them as a package of 3 or $9.99 or if you want the 3 pack and filter I think it was $15.99 I just bought the 3 pack for now and will change the bags this summer when the coach comes out of storage. As far as the central vac option goes, I would not be without one.

I bought the package that is 26.99. It has 10 bags and the filter. I guess when you think about it my vac at home bags come in 3's and they are 5.99 so it isn't so bad it was just a lot of money at one time. They will last a long time though. We don't have pets so we probably don't pick up as much as pet owners. The 3 pack of bags is 8.99 at CW. I had checked the Dometic web site and they don't list them.
Happy trails..........................

Rich,
There is no model number for the central vac. Dometic only makes one that I am aware of, and the bag of replacements has the exact picture on it. Here is the Dometic corp dust bag number to reorder bags from Dometic dial 1-800-544-4881. Replacement Bags Part #3308169. This info is found on the replacement bags I bought at Camping World. These are Dometic factory replacement bags not an off brand bag. The UPC off the package is 13814-42035. Hope this info helps.

Well by the response here it seems like the Dometic Vaccum is a good quality product so I am happy my first impression was wrong.
I have a little Dirt Devil I used in my other RVs and I paid 30 bucks for it years ago so when I saw the option list price of 590.00 (Can)
I was expecting a larger unit like my home built in but after all this is still an RV unit. As long as it works well that is great.
I realize these option lists are the full MSLP and on an order I am sure the Vaccuum would cost much less .

The "Dometic" vacuum cleaner is also sold under the brand name InterVac. The following specs are copied from the web site of a Canadian hardware chain (Home Hardware) that sell both the unit and the bags. We have one, we like it. We use the powerhead and hose from our home central vac with it to get additional cleaning power. The Canadan retail price is C$500.

Where is the filter located on the vacuum. I was on the CW website, but didn't see vacuum bags for this model. What I saw was for the Dirt Devil, will these fit our system? I emailed Dometic and got the standard "We don't have a license to direct sell so we can't sell to the consumer." So what do I ask for at CW with the bags?
