Motorized front window shade - the fix
From a thread created by Last2Die June 25, 2019…starting with post #16 from Beverly...
The problem is most likely a reprogramming issue. The little button has to be depressed simultaneously with the wall switch to initiate the reprogramming. It goes on the blink with power surges and minor electrical events of that type. The company rep will give you the sequence if you call them - it is an easy fix - if that is the problem, which is very likely IMO . I have done mine several times.
We had a power surge the last 2 nights our monitor detected something and shut power to the coach. The first time for about 5 seconds and last night I had to go out and reset the campground 50amp breaker. Upon start-up it allowed power again. Hopefully you’re right I will call in the morning!! Thankyou !!
Beverly, you were right I spoke with Ryan and it needed to be reprogrammed, it works perfect now! Wish CW would have passed on that info!!
I figure I will put the steps on how to reprogram if anyone happens to experience what I went through.
The button hanging from the powered shade is only there for programming purposes it serves no other purpose.
1. You need to hold the button at the shade and have someone else push the up or down button on the wall at the same time.
2. Hold till you hear a series of beeps, once you hear the beeps you are in programming mode.
3. If the roller is up push the down button, if the roller is down push the up button till you get to the top of bottom of where you want the roller. Let go of the button you will hear beeps again.
4. Do the same thing up or down until it is at the up or down height you want to set it at, let go of the button. More beeps
5. One last time as number 4 and you are done.
***Documented for future use***
