Air Lift Wireless One review

For those with airbags or those considering installing airbags, this 2nd. generation Air Lift Wireless One EZ Mount compressor, kit#25980EZ, is a tidy package. I have been running Firestone airbags for years and normally just fill from a Schrader valve. I just installed this kit, which is compatible with any airbag unit. It offers a no-drill installation, with the use of a large u-bolt that goes around your boxed frame rail. The only hole you have to drill is for compressor.'s ground wire, which is next to it on the frame. The wiring is very straightforward, comes with a fuse and the option to wire to a 10amp or smaller ignition source. If wiring to your ignition source, you will need a fuse tap. On my 2020 Chevy the fuse tap I needed was a Micro2 10amp fuse tap. I also kept my Schrader valve in case the system ever went down. The entire system is controlled with a small remote and you are able to keep 3 preset pressures. This unit also has an app that allows you to run the system from your smart phone. I bought this kit on amazon for $430.00. They do offer another kit which allows you to air up each airbag independently, but that is a couple hundred dollars more. After installing, the system started right up, there were no leaks, and the system aired up and down as it should. It will be nice to now have the option to adjust the pressure if needed while on the road. Oh, and better yet, it is made in the USA.

I have a 15 and opted to not have the remote control. I was concerned about losing the remote. I did what you did, fill with a electric air pump. What a pain it was. We went on a trip and visited 26 places and getting all that st6uff out was stupid. Since I installed the air pump life has gotten much better.

How do you know how much air in the bags? I have a gauge in the cab with a switch that I use to work the pump. That looks like a nice setup. I had to install a plate and bolt the pump to that. I also got some of that wire loom and ran my air lines through that.

There is a display on the remote that gives the pressure.

That's a sweet looking set up. I have the baby brother to yours that I installed a couple years ago with the same remote. I love the remote option. As has been stated, it's so easy to set or change on the fly. I use all 3 presets. One for without the trailer (10psi), one for towing (35psi), and one for getting out of my driveway without scraping the landing gear (80psi). Easy peasy...

I have my Schrader valve in the bed of my truck by the 7 pin plug. I just use a digital pressure gauge to check the pressure. The Air Lift remote and the pressure gauge are within .5 psi. Prior to the getting the Air Lift, I used a Harbor Freight 20V hand held airpump to fill my bags.

This is how I did this but I put mine in the bumper by the license plate. I thought is was going to be easy just to get out the pump and air up but it got to be a pain to drag out the compressor and put it away all the time. I was just to cheep to get the on board compressor. When anyone wants to get air bags I always tell them they need the on board compressor. It took me all day to install mine.

It's worth the money to have the onboard compressor. I installed it myself in about 2hours. I'm disabled so I had to take a couple short breaks. I love the ride I can get on rougher roads or bridge expansions.

FYI, i have one. First compressor seized for some reason, they replaced with an upgraded compressor and have had no issues since. Having that remote is great, and can pre-set two pressure levels. Also have the phone app. Really smoothes out the road when I have the 5er loaded. You’ll like them.

I keep the remote in the TV console so never loose it. There is also a smart phone app that does the same thing as the remote. All blue tooth controlled. SO much easier system, and can adjust on the fly.

I have the 7000 on board compressor with remote and phone app. The shop also put a shrader valve right next to my fuel fill , inside the fuel door in case there is a malfunction, i can still fill or let out air manually.

My console is so full of junk I guess I could clean it out LOL The phone app sounds good. I just mounted my switch next to the driver door. It took a while to find a spot to put it. If I had to do it again I would go the remote way. It would take me way less time to install. I have wire loom on everything even the air hoses. that was not easy but it sure protects the hoses from rubbing on anything.

That's another great location for that Schrader valve.

Slow to the party here. Have had the 7000 for a few years now with the remote ,that clips on my sun visor . The handiest place for my valves were thru the license plate holes . I like the automatic refill on it, it keeps it at whatever its set at.

Definitely a great little invention. We just got back from a 4 day trip to the beach. So nice to adjust the bags while driving.
