Monitor Panel Question

In my 2011 3100RL, the Water Heater controls on the monitor panel are a little confusing to me. Specifically, what does "DSI" and "FLT" between the Gas and Electric switches stand for and what does the tiny light between them signify? Thanks.

When you turn on the "GAS" switch the tiny light should also come on until the WH burner ignites and then go off. "DSI" means Direct Spark Ignition (no pilot light). "FLT" means the burner failed to light. Hope this helps.

As stated above, the small LED light is only there to indicate that the gas burner is ON. If it stays on after, say a minute, then the burner did not light and you will need to turn the switch back off then back on to try again. (hint) make sure you have gas by lighting the stove burners before trying to fire up the water heater.

Also, turning on the electric water heater switch (pictured) will do nothing unless the little black switch behind the exterior water heater access door (outside) is turned on.

NEVER TURN ON ANY HEATER SWITCH IF YOU ARE NOT SURE THE WATER HEATER IS FULL OF WATER.
