RV Carports

[Retire 2022]

Full timers with home bases...how many of you live at your home base and are parked under your RV carport while at your home base? Let me know your good or bad experiences when you are living under your RV carport. We will be full timing by the end of October (home base DFW area of Texas) and are considering putting up an RV carport. Thanks in advance for your opinions and advice.

I'm not a full timer but I do have a carport for my RV. My advice would be to have it large enough to protect your camper and keep your truck under. Make it at least 8 feet longer than your camper and 24 feet wide. And plan to pull your truck in from an end instead of the side.

mine sits in a 16x36 it hangs out the front I have a 50 amp plug to keep it pluged in.

We have two home bases and no carport at either one. Would be great for hail, but would mess up the TV reception.
