:) Experiences at dealer open house

I spent the past weekend and Sunday of the previous week as a volunteer host at an open house held by my dealer (Lee Family Trailer of Windham ME) and had a great time. My 8 year old granddaugher helped me one day and my 12 year old grandson the other two. They both quickly learned a lot about the product and enjoyed pointing our features of the trailer. I spent much of my time in a 3650 RK with the fireplace going talking about Montanas, my dealer, travel and camping (or more properly for us-RVing) I could talk about anything I wanted, (except prices) good bad or ugly. I learned a lot too. One guy runs a business that uses a lot of steel. He confirmed the steel shortage. He expects prices for steel to double in April. I also confirmed that Keystone has a virtual lock on ovens and that they are diverting what they have to the Montana (and probably Big Sky)line.
If I wanted a new rig for Memorial Day I would order it today. Monday was actually the last day the dealer would guarantee before Memorial Day delivery.
Most people loved the unit but over 1/2 tripped going into the kitchen. That would take some getting used to.
I was able to use a lot of the knowledge that I picked up on this forum and people appreciated my candor. When I came in on Sunday one salesman said he had a customer that had a question that he couldn't answer and he knew I could and I did. I know of at least two couples that were probably going to buy anyway but said being able to talk with me sealed the deal. There may be two others.
I did this because I love my Montana and my experience with my dealer has been good and because I have friends with a Fleetwood MH and they do the same thing in Fl and have a ball. I did too and I highly recommend the experience. If anyone has any specific questions about my experience I will try to answer them.
