Dometic refrigerator, freezer works well but lower section not cooling enough.
Lower section does not cool well. This is a model, SM1350 SMLX in a 2014 3735Mk unit. We have recently purchased this unit. The fridge used to cool down into the 30's but now seems to only get into the 40's. Just defrosted the freezer and waiting for the unit to slowly catch up.

Check that the thermistor is up to the top of the fins.

On the lower interior, I only see a wire to a sensor (thermistor?) that is screwed into the roof top near the fins?? Could this be the temp control in the lower section?

The thermistor is a clip with a wire attached and should be on the right side of the frig interior connected to the fins at the back of the frig. The higher on the fin the colder the frig will get.

Thanks for the reply. I don't see anything attached to the fins. Not sure this fridge was used very much. I will do some research on it. Thanks again.

On My 2014 RV the 1350 Fridge thermistor is a not on the fins.. it is fixed and not adjustable
Things to check on this model..
1. Left flap door seal .. make sure it closes or you will have issues
2. Outside open fridge access panel and look at drain tube and make sure there is a small white cap with holes on the drain line... if it isnt it will cause cooling issues
These two items on the 1350 series fridge are usual culprit since freezer side is fine....

thanks everyone for the responses. gave up and had an RV service guy take a look. It appears the cooling fans are fried and will need to be replaced.

Our Dometic 1350 is having the same problem. The fridge stays around 40-43 degrees. Thinking of getting new thermistor. Can hear the fans running outside when needed. Freezer is around 10 degrees.

For my Norcold, I ended up buying a 12V muffin fan and attaching it in front of the cooling fins with zip ties. Negative gets alligator clipped to the fins, positive is kept in place with electrical tape and is powered by the contact pins that power the door anti-condensation heaters. There are other ways to get 12V into the refrigerator if you have a different model...

The left hand door flap not moving to parallel is by far the most common problem.

The left hand door flap is worth checking. You might check to be sure all 4 fans are working.
