Washer & Dryer
We have a 3731FL and looking to add a washer and dryer. Does anyone with this model have a washer and dryer installed. Would like to see a picture if possible.

I install the Splendide combo, I didn't have the room to install the stackable so I went with just the combo, which is a whole lot better than going to those sketchy laundry mats.

As a new Montana 3120RL Owner we have hookups for a washer and dryer in a closet. We have heard both positive and negative views on whether the washer and dryer are worth it, mostly about the dryer not doing a great job. Any thoughts you folks might share on this issue would be appreciated?

Looking at the floor plan of your year and model, you are going to have to put the washer and dryer in the Pantry area where the hook-ups are located. If you are going with a vented dryer, you will need to cut a hole in the side of the trailer to install the dryer vent. They run about $35, come in black or white.
You'll need the washing machine hoses for both hot and cold, and the appropriate length of duct work for the dryer vent. There are all sorts of possibilities you can use for the duct work. But I think using the flexible stuff, like in a house, would be easier to work with than the hard steel type that's fixed.
Both washer and dryer will run on 120 AC volt. I don't know where the washing machine will drain to. Considering it near the kitchen, it could drain into the kitchen galley grey tank. But you should test it first with a garden hose shoved down the drain pipe and open one outside tank drain valve one at a time and see which one has the water. This way you'll know, when using the washer, how often you'll have to dump the tank. (be it toilet black, shower grey, or kitchen grey).
They are not that hard to put in since the hooks-ups are already there. We've installed 2 different stackable washer/dryers in the house. We are in the process of getting a Splendid stackable for the Montana right now.'
I am letting my dealership install it though, simply because of the limited space mine has to be transported through and the man-handling it will require. I don't have help.
But, because mine sits on a shelf, and under the shelf is my water heater, I did reinforce the shelf from the underside of that cabinet to withstand all the bouncing going down the road. That shelf was installed with staples in a styrofoam wall. I then ran supports from that shelf to the next level shelf for the dryer and strengthen that one too. Then went and painted all the wood to (somewhat) match what was already there, removed the door from the cabinet and have everything completely prepped. They are installing it on March 22 now.
Hope this helps. Good luck. Sorry, no photos.

We have had one for years in two Montana's. These are RV WD do not compare them with residential units. They take longer to dry and take smaller loads but they work well. They get a lot of use and we have not had a problem.

We have a combo unit and it works fine. It's a bit slow but I've never been in a hurry for clothes to be washed. One nice thing is getting back home and not having a pile of laundry to wash. Ever see what goes into public washers?
