Cherry Creek State Park, Denver, CO
We loved it. A bit of a meander to get to the RV sites, but worth it.

Glad you liked it. Next time you're in the area, try Chatfield State Park on the Southwest side. Better than Cherry Creek, and not as crowded.

X2 on Chatfield but the daily vehicle fee Colorado charges still chaps my butt.

It's a $8 daily vehicle pass fee. For instance, your camping fee is $26 a day and your stay is 3 days. Add $24 to your total fee even if your vehicle was never moved.

I understand now, it is the state park daily fee.
I have learned to hate government development. Seems that the first thing that gets erected is a batch of signs with fees and also the ones that the first word is NO....(i.e. parking, dogs, overnight parking, etc.)

If you plan on returning to Colorado buy the season pass. In the long run you will save $. We always stay at Chatfield over Cherry Creek.

I love the National, & State Parks, National Forests, BLM Lands, Army Corps etc. I prefer them big time over the Private RV parks.
I think they do a great job with limited resources.
A few rules and regs to keep the crazies from ruining the place?? OK by me

We have stayed at Cherry Creek several times and loved it. I told my bride we will have to give Chatfield a try next year.
