Solar power???

While in storage with everything unplugged my batteries drain to nothing over a couple of weeks. My question is if I leave the solar power on will it charge my batteries and keep them charged over a period of time.

When we purchased the unit I was told to disconnect both the primary power and the inverter power while not in use, but now my batteries drain to nothing. Not good!!!!

disconnect the battery cable to make sure everything is off. My rig is fine for 4-7 months in storage and enough juice left to raise jacks and put out slides.

I don't believe there is any technical reason you shouldn't leave your panel/charger turned on. I'm assuming you have separate switch like I do for main power and solar, so you can leave main power off. Lithium batteries do not have the low cycle rates that other battery chemistries have. My '23 311RD has a resting load of about .3A, with main power and solar off, so I added a new switch on the negative battery terminal and just disconnect completely while I'm in storage since I'm in a covered spot and the solar is minimal. Of course if you do this, make sure to size the switch and cable correctly. I just copied the existing cable from the battery which was 1/0.

Sorry, assumed Lithium batteries. Lead acid can also handle constant charging. I still think disconnecting is first choice.

With LA batteries you want to disconnect the negative cables and shut off the battery disconnect.
